This website
openx6x00.org has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. It doesn't load third-party scripts or fonts.
Like any web server, the hosting platform (Google Cloud Run) keeps short-lived request logs — IP address, time, the page requested and your browser's user agent — to operate and protect the service. We don't use them to identify or profile visitors.
To show the latest release, the site's server — not your browser — asks GitHub which release is newest. The Download button sends your browser to GitHub, which serves the file under its own privacy statement.
The firmware
OpenX6X00 has no account, no telemetry and no server of its own. The phone app, the remote API, the diagnostics upload, the site ping and the vendor update channel of the firmware it was forked from were all removed. Your settings, logs and recordings stay on the radio's microSD card.
The radio talks to the internet only for what you ask of it, and only to the services you name in its settings: the DX cluster and Reverse Beacon Network servers you choose, pota.app, wwbota.org, cqhota.app and the WWFF Spotline for self-spots, QRZ Logbook with your own API key, WSPRnet for beacon reports, NTP for the time, and GitHub Releases when you press Check for an update. Each of those is a request your radio makes to that service directly; we see none of them.
The TCI server and the web configurator listen on your own network, with no login. Turn the TCI server off on a network you don't trust (Settings › General › TCI SERVER).
